Critical behaviour near critical end points and tricritical points in disordered spin-1 ferromagnets

چکیده
Critical end points and tricritical are multicritical that separate lines of continuous transitions from first order in the phase diagram many systems. In models like spin-1 disordered Blume–Capel model repulsive Blume–Emery–Griffiths model, point splits into a critical bicritical with an increase disorder coupling strength respectively. to make distinction between these two points, we investigate contrast behaviour boundary co-existence diameter around them.

Disordered systems near quantum critical points
Various aspects of disordered systems at and near quantum phase transitions (QPT), which are transitions at zero temperature that are driven by quantum instead of thermal uctuations, are discussed. We describe a cluster algorithm in continuous (imaginary) time for general (pure or random) ferromagnetic Ising models in a transverse eld. It works directly with an innnite number of time-slices in ...
متن کاملPhase boundaries near critical end points. I. Thermodynamics and universality.
The vicinity of a critical end point is analyzed in order to reveal singularities arising in the form of the first-order phase boundary to the noncritical phase. Phenomenological arguments are presented and critically assessed that directly relate the nonanalytic behavior of the phase boundary to universal features of the bulk thermodynamics on the associated critical line. Explicit values are ...
متن کاملSome thoughts on critical and tricritical points and deconfinement
We start with a discussion of a phase diagram and three special collision energies: (i) the first touching of the mixed phase; (ii) the softest point; (iii) the critical point. We then proceed to more details about the role a massless critical mode should play in the particle interaction and the elliptic flow. We then enter a discussion of whether high density QGP is or is not strongly coupled,...
متن کاملCritical Behavior for 2D Uniform and Disordered Ferromagnets at Self-Dual Points
We consider certain two-dimensional systems with self-dual points including uniform and disordered q-state Potts models. For systems with continuous energy density (such as the disordered versions) it is established that the self-dual point exhibits critical behavior: Infinite susceptibility, vanishing magnetization and power law bounds for the decay of correlations.
متن کاملDynamics and Transport near Quantum-critical Points
The physics of non-zero temperature dynamics and transport near quantum-critical points is discussed by a detailed study of the O(N)symmetric, relativistic, quantum field theory of a N -component scalar field in d spatial dimensions. A great deal of insight is gained from a simple, exact solution of the long-time dynamics for the N = 1 d = 1 case: this model describes the critical point of the ...
